Même si ça reste cher, c'est dans les prix d'un Eur'Open.

presque 300 balle le full pack derrière faut compter le trajet l'hébergement ça fait reuch :/

Les orgas viennent d'annoncer sur FB et Twitter qu'ils imposaient l'utilisation d'un terrain au nouveau format. Il faut donc que chaque équipe en ait au moins 3.

Déjà qu'ayant une équipe venant du jeux vidéo, on a, à peine 3 terrains à l'ancien format à nous 6... C'est pas pour devoir en acheter 3 juste pour un tournoi...

Surtout que les nouvelles fig' tiennent sur les anciens...

J'ai répondu sur le post FB et j'ai eu une réponse très rapide m'invitant à échanger par mail... aurait-on mis le doigt sur quelque chose?

about the quick answer on FB: if I'm online I usually respond fast.

about the rules for the pitches: We might have to revisit this rule. Honestly, we were quite shocked about the negative response, not only on FB, but also other media after our statement. We did not invision that people have so strong feelings about the pitch size.

Again: it was not intended to push sales for the World Cup pitch. If one likes the World Cup pitch, one buys it, if they don't like it, they don't buy it.

The sole intention was this: Our experience over the last year playing against people with the new size miniatures was just bad. People were fighting about where the minis were placed and in one game it actually caused a concession because they kept blaming each other for cheating. THIS is something we want to avoid. That's why we decided to ask for large pitches only. Of course we will allow certain exceptions, we even offered to borrow some of our large pitches (not the WC pitch) to the people who have problems with the large pitch (mostly veteran players), but we can't supply everybody with new pitches.

The reason why I asked for getting in contact by email was exactly the last thing: trying to find a solution for people who don't have a new pitch and don't want to buy a new pitch (regardless of manufacturer)

We are trying to give you the best experience at the World Cup. But please support us and work with us.

Again.... most likely we have to change the rule about pitches, but we want to discuss this internally first before going to public.

C'est bien évidement plus agréable de jouer sur un terrain XL
Mais le soucis ce sont bien évidemment les tables. Elles sont rarement assez large dans les salles collectives.
Ou bien il faut les mettre à l'horizontal, et l'expérience de jeu peut être différente pour certains.
Perso cela fait très longtemps que je n'ai pas essayé irl mais ça se fait comme ça sur fumbbl alors cela doit être assez simple de s'adapter.
On peut imaginer qu'il y aura plus de places sur les tables alors.

Il y a probablement pas mal de nouveaux terrains en circulation pour pas avoir besoin d'en acheter. Je prêterai volontier le mieux à une équipe si besoin.

We had to order special tables for 5000€ more in order to cover for the larger size pitches (thanks to GW )

The tables are wide enough to play face to face and not Fumbbl Style (which is ok on Fumbbl, but not on a board)

Thank you for your explanations. The reasons you give for imposing new size pitches are fully understandable. I was the first to react on FB concerning table size and your prompt answer was reassuring.

Let me express few remarks :
1) I think it was a bit clumsy to impose that new size just after announcing the prizes of goodies and really looked like an attempt to push people to buy the WC pitch. But I understand the investment to build this pitch and the will that it becomes a success.

2) As I think the vast majority of players have 25mm base minis and are used to play on the old size pitch, may I suggest that you transform the rules as :
-People who intend to play with 32mm must bring the new size pitch
- At least one upon the 3 terrains must be of new size for each squad.

about 1) I agree about the clumsiness. It really must have looked that way. I guess, when you are organizing something like that and try to think about everything and want to spread the news as early as possible, those things happen. I apologize for this confusion.

about 2) as I mentioned earlier, we are right now discussing about this internally (but it just takes a bit time due to availability of the team members). Most likely it will look similar to what you have stated. I appreciate you positive approach.

While we're talking about prices and so on. Is it possible for non participant to buy the extra stuffs such as team and pitch ? (not sure i'll be able to come and kinda felt in love with the UW team that i saw at Lutece this June)

you have two options:
a) ask a friend of your who is going to order things for you and he can bring it back to you after the event.

b) you can order the miniature team and the pitches without the WC4 insignia directly from Tabletop Art (minis) or Ziterdes (Pitch) after the event.

It is very likely that the prices for option b) will be much higher than option a) (especially for the pitch)
